“Foi a melhor corrida que já fiz”, comemorou o jovem Bruno Mesquita ao descer do seu Lancer RS após a segunda vitória no dia. E não é para menos. O público presente no Autódromo Velo Città teve o privilégio de assistir a duas provas muito emocionantes e disputadas.
O fim de semana foi de pura comemoração para Bruno. Na sexta a tarde, durante os treinos livres, o piloto marcou o melhor tempo da categoria. Não contente, no treino classificatório de sábado, abaixou ainda mais essa marca, registrando 1:44,3, o melhor tempo de um Lancer na pista do Velo Città. Largando na pole na primeira corrida, Bruno dominou de ponta a ponta, não dando chance aos adversários. Na segunda prova, com grid invertido, ele largou em oitavo e travou uma dura batalha com Sergio Alves, terceiro colocado até então, e depois com Paulo Pomelli, pela vice liderança. A apenas três voltas do fim conseguiu fazer a ultrapassagem e ficou em segundo, mas ainda estava longe do primeiro, Eduardo Souza Ramos, que acabou tendo problemas a apenas uma volta do fim e a vitória caiu no colo de Bruno.
Mesmo assim, Sergio Alves segue na liderança do campeonato, com 85 pontos, empatado com Fabio Viscardi. “Para quem estava assistindo, foi bem emocionante”, comentou Sergio, que marcou um terceiro e um segundo lugares.
Na categoria Lancer RS Master, o piloto Paulo Pomelli venceu as duas provas.

Fun Day
A vitória foi dos amigos Heitor Soares Bezerra e Gustavo Ferraz Pereira, de Divinolândia (SP), que participaram do evento pela primeira vez e correram a bordo de um Lancer
Evo Day
Os proprietários do Lancer Evolution aproveitaram o dia de sol e desfrutaram de toda a potência e tecnologia de seus carros na pista do Velo Città em três baterias de 30 minutos. Como novidade deste ano, o participante que for o mais regular marcando seu melhor tempo nas três baterias, recebe uma premiação especial.

A terceira etapa da Mitsubishi Lancer Cup, Fun Day e do Lancer Evo Day será realizada no dia 14 de junho, no autódromo Velo Città, em Mogi Guaçu (SP).

The winners of the second stage of the Lancer Cup
“It was the best race I’ve ever done,” celebrated the young Bruno Mesquita to descend from his Lancer RS after second win on the day. And for a good reason. This at the Autodromo Velo Città public had the privilege of watching two very exciting and disputed evidence.
The weekend was pure celebration for Bruno. On Friday afternoon, during practice, the pilot scored the best time in the category. Not content, in qualifying on Saturday, further lowered the mark by registering 1:44,3, the fastest time in a Lancer Lane Velo Città. From pole in the first race, Bruno dominated from beginning to end, giving no chance to the opponents. In the second test, with reverse grid, he started eighth and fought a hard battle with Sergio Alves, third place until then, and then with Paul Pomelli, the deputy leadership. The only three laps to go and managed to make overtaking was second, but was still far from the first , Eduardo Souza Ramos, who ended up having problems just a back end and the victory fell on the lap of Bruno .
Still, Sergio Alves continues to lead the championship with 85 points, tied with Fabio Viscardi. “For anyone who was watching, it was pretty exciting,” said Sergio, who scored a third and a second place.
In the category RS Lancer Master, pilot Paul Pomelli won two races.
