No próximo dia 16 de abril o fotógrafo Rodrigo Galvão lança o livro e abre a exposição Chapada Diamantina – natureza, folclore e fé na Bahia. A Mostra acontece de 16 a 30 de abril no espaço Território da Foto, em Pinheiros. A curadoria é do fotógrafo Gabriel Boieiras.
O diferencial do trabalho do fotógrafo são os registros folclóricos e religiosos pouco explorados na Chapada, unindo um conjunto de imagens do Brasil, mostrando assim o que é a região, sua natureza, folclore, religiosidade, cores e figuras humanas. “Foi muito interessante, aprendi muito com a simplicidade destes povos, ainda existem pessoas felizes vivendo apenas com o essencial para a vida, uma certa inocência em relação ao dinheiro, me abriu os olhos para uma vida mais simples e descomplicada”, declara Rodrigo.
O livro estará à venda por R$90,00 no Território da Foto, durante a exposição e depois poderá ser encontrado nas Livrarias da Vila e Saraiva, em São Paulo e na Livraria da Travessa, no Rio de Janeiro. PHOTOGRAPHER MAKES REGISTERS UNPUBLISHED OF THE CHAPADA DIAMANTINA REGION OF FOLKLORE
The next 16th of April, the photographer Rodrigo Galvão throws the book and opens the exhibition Chapada Diamantina – nature, folklore and faith in Bahia. The show takes place 16-30 April at the photo Territory space in Pinheiros. The curator is photographer Gabriel Boieiras.
The photographer’s work gap are the folkloric and religious records underexplored in the Chapada, joining a set of images of Brazil, showing what the region, nature, folklore, religion, color and human figures. “It was very interesting, I learned a lot from the simplicity of these people, there are still happy people living with only essential for life, a certain innocence about money, opened my eyes to a simpler life and uncomplicated,” says Rodrigo.
The book will be on sale for US$90.00 in the Territory of the photo during the exhibition and then can be found in the village and Saraiva Bookstores in São Paulo and Bookstore Lane, in Rio de Janeiro. Photos can also be purchased from R$800.00 each. It is worth checking that moment through the lens of Rodrigo Galvao.
