O Festival de Teatro de Curitiba chega à sua 24ª edição reunindo 29 espetáculos na Mostra, sendo sete estreias nacionais e cinco atrações internacionais, e 393 espetáculos no Fringe. O evento será realizado de 24 de março a 5 de abril e neste ano é apresentado pelo Banco Itaú e Tradener, com patrocínio da Renault do Brasil, Petrobras e UEGA Araucária e apoio da Itaipu Binacional.
A venda dos ingressos para os 29 espetáculos da Mostra e os 393 do Fringe começou no dia 10 de fevereiro, por meio da internet (www.festivaldecuritiba.com.br) e nas bilheterias oficiais do evento, instaladas no ParkShoppingBarigüi, Shopping Mueller e Palladium Shopping Center. Os ingressos para os espetáculos da Mostra custam R$ 60,00 (inteira) e R$ 30,00 (meia-entrada), sendo que esses valores estão sujeitos à taxa de conveniência do DiskIngressos.
A Mostra apresenta neste ano sete estreias nacionais – SPon SPof Spend, Post Scriptum, OE, Abnegação 2, Meu Saba, Fishman e Ensaio Para Um Adeus Inesperado – e cinco atrações internacionais: A House in Asia, Double Rite, Surfacing, Numax e Forces, da companhia norte-americana Elizabeth Streb, que marcará a abertura do Festival.
A programação reúne, ainda, as peças Gotas D’Água Sobre Pedras Escaldantes, Silêncio, Oh! Os Belos Dias, Nêgo, Drummond, Pessoas Perfeitas (foto), Beije Minha Lápide, Através de Um Espelho, Desalinho, Let’s Kiss, Máquina Fatzer, Nômades, Adorável Garoto, Selfie e Depois do Ensaio, além dos musicais Dias de Luta, Dias de Glória, sobre o grupo Charlie Brown Júnior, e Samba Futebol Clube, sucesso multimídia de 2014 que recebeu 12 indicações aos prêmios Shell e Cesgranrio de Teatro.
As convergências entre linguagens e universos artísticos estão novamente presentes na 24ª edição do Festival. Os encontros entre Cinema e Literatura seguem fortes nos palcos do evento. O sueco Ingmar Bergman (1918-2007), por exemplo, tem dois trabalhos cinematográficos convertidos para o teatro: Através de Um Espelho, adaptação do longa-metragem homônimo de 1961, protagonizado por Gabriela Duarte, sob direção de Ulysses Cruz, e Depois do Ensaio, uma das últimas obras escritas e filmadas pessoalmente por Bergman, considerada uma espécie de testamento sobre sua devoção ao palco, dirigida por Mônica Guimarães.
Durante os 13 dias do Festival, a Mostra ocupará os dez principais palcos de Curitiba: Teatro Guaíra, Guairinha, Ópera de Arame, Teatro Positivo – Grande Auditório, Teatro da Reitoria da UFPR, Teatro Bom Jesus, Sesc da Esquina, Teatro Paiol, Teatro Regina Vogue e Portão Cultural.
A seleção feita pelo trio de curadores, formado pelos jornalistas e críticos teatrais Lucia Camargo, Celso Curi e Tânia Brandão, tem por objetivo reforçar a posição do Festival como a principal vitrine da dramaturgia nacional e internacional. “Os curadores estão sempre atentos aos movimentos da dramaturgia, na forma, na inovação, na linguagem e nos diversos aspectos do fazer teatral”, garante Leandro Knopfholz, diretor geral do Festival de Teatro.
Fringe
O Fringe chega à sua 17ª edição com 393 espetáculos que ganharão as ruas, praças, palcos e espaços alternativos de Curitiba em 12 dias de programação.
O evento reunirá dez Mostras Especiais, sendo cinco novas: Mostra de Teatro Universitário Grutum!, que estreia no Fringe com produções de grupos universitários; Gloriah Vigor Mortis, que apresentará uma seleção dos trabalhos da companhia curitibana homônima, sob a direção de Paulo Biscaia; 20 anos do Pé no Palco, que celebra as duas décadas da companhia teatral criada por Fátima Ortiz; I Mostra Pernambucana de Teatro para Infância, que vai inaugurar o mais novo espaço teatral de Curitiba, o Estúdio 455; e Ilíada Homero Grécia 2016, que reúne dez espetáculos com os cantos da obra grega de Homero.
Além disso, a plateia poderá escolher os espetáculos das Mostras já conhecidas do público do Fringe, como Sonora Cena, Mostra Ademar Guerra, Ave Lola, Novos Repertórios e Sesi Dramaturgia.

The Curitiba Theater Festival reaches its 24th edition bringing together 29 performances in shows, seven national premieres and five international attractions, and 393 gigs at the Fringe. The event will be held March 24 to April 5 this year and is presented by Itaú and Tradener Bank, sponsored by Renault in Brazil, Petrobras and UEGA Araucaria and support from Itaipu.
The sale of tickets for the 29 shows the shows and 393 of the Fringe began on February 10, via the Internet (www.festivaldecuritiba.com.br) and the official ticket office of event, installed on ParkShoppingBarigüi, Shopping Mueller and Palladium Shopping Center. Convergence between languages and artistic universes are again present at the 24th edition of the Festival. The meetings between Cinema and Literature strong follow the stages of the event. The Swedish Ingmar Bergman (1918-2007), for example, has two converted cinematographic works for the theater: Através do Espelho (Through A Mirror), feature film adaptation of the eponymous 1961, starring Gabriela Duarte, directed by Ulysses Cruz, and Depois do Ensaio (After test), one of the last written works and personally filmed by Bergman, considered a sort of testament of his devotion to the stage, directed by Monica Guimarães.
During the 13 days of the Festival, the show will occupy the top ten stages of Curitiba: Teatro Guaira, Guairinha, Ópera do Arame, Teatro Positivo – Grande Auditório, Teatro da Reitoria UFPR, Teatro Bom Jesus, SESC da Esquina, Teatro Paiol, Teatro Regina Vogue and Portão Cultural.
The selection made by the trio of trustees, composed of theater journalists and critics Lucia Camargo, Celso Curi and Tania Brandão, aims to strengthen the position of the Festival as the main showcase of national and international drama. “The Trustees are always aware of the drama of movements, fashion, innovation, language and various aspects of theater do,” assures Leandro Knopfholz, general director of the Theatre Festival.
Fringe
The Fringe reaches its 17th edition with 393 shows that gain the streets, squares, theaters and alternative spaces of Curitiba in 12 days schedule.
The event will bring together ten Shows Specials, five new being: Exhibition of University Theatre Grutum !, which premiere at Fringe with university groups productions; Vigor Mortis Gloriah, which will present a selection of works from the homonymous Curitiba company, under the direction of Paul Biscay; 20 years of the Pé no Palco, which celebrates two decades of the theater company created by Fatima Ortiz; I Pernambuco Theatre for Children Show, which will usher in the newest theatrical space of Curitiba, the Studio 455; Homer and the Iliad Greece 2016 that brings together ten shows with the corners of the Greek of Homer’s work.
In addition, the audience can choose the shows of shows already known to the public the Fringe, as Sonora Cena, Ademar Guerra Show, Ave Lola, Novos Repertórios and Sesi Dramaturgia.
