Dos cerca de 980 mil turistas estrangeiros que a ilha caribenha de Aruba recebeu em 2013, o Brasil ocupou a quinta colocação, com 23.293 turistas, atrás apenas dos EUA, Venezuela, Canadá e Holanda. Aruba é conhecida por suas belezas naturais com praias paradisíacas que encantam turistas do mundo todo.
Na última quinta-feira, nossa equipe conversou com o diretor da ATA (Aruba Tourism Authority) no Brasil, Carlos Barbosa, durante o grande evento de viagem, o World Travel Market.

1- Quais são as novidades de Aruba para os turistas, este ano?
A novidade mais recente é o hotel Hitz Carlton, que foi inaugurado dia 20 de dezembro mais ou menos. Esse hotel que pertence a grande cadeia Hitz, top do mercado, veio para reforçar que Aruba é um destino diferenciado. Além do Hitz temos vários outros hotéis internacionais para o público A, como o Renaissance, Hyatt, Marriott, temos um condomínio que se chama Terras Del Sol, que abriga campos de golfe incríveis e VIP.
2- Aruba também oferece atrativos para o lazer e esporte. Quais são eles?
Aruba foi brindada com uma areia muito branca e um mar azul turquesa. A região de Palm Beach onde estão os hotéis, por ser uma região muito tranquila, ajudou a dissipar a prática de esportes aquáticos como winding surfing, riding surfing, stand up paddle, mergulho. Uma coisa muito importante que Aruba tem é que nunca passa a impressão de lotado. Porque a ilha é muito reservada, diferente das outras ilhas do Caribe, ela tem apenas 9 por 31 km e o número de apartamentos na ilha é de aproximadamente 1.500.
3- Quais são as estratégias para atrair mais clientes brasileiros este ano?
Nós estamos trabalhando forte com as companhias áreas. Uma das nossas deficiências hoje é a disponibilidade área e para isso nós já tivemos alguns avanços ao longo dos últimos dois anos; um deles é que agora a GOL voa duas vezes por semana por Caracas, Avianca voando de São Paulo e Rio de Janeiro com conexões em Bogotá, a Copa Airlines colocou mais quatro voos adicionais do Panamá para Aruba, aumentando a disponibilidade de assentos para os nossos destinos.

1 – What’s the news from Aruba to tourists this year?
The latest addition is the Hitz Carlton hotel, which opened December 20 or so. This hotel belongs to large chain Hitz, top of the market and came to reinforce that Aruba is a distinct destination. Beyond Hitz have several other international hotels for the public, as the Renaissance, Hyatt, Marriott and we have a condo called Terras Del Sol, place to golf courses and incredible VIP .
2 – Aruba also offers attractions for leisure and sport. What are they?
Aruba was granted with a very white sand and turquoise blue sea. The region of Palm Beach where the hotels are, to be a very peaceful area, helped dispel the practice of water sports like winding surfing, riding surfing, stand up paddle, swim. One very important thing is that Aruba has never conveys the impression packed. Because the island is very private, unlike other Caribbean islands, she is only 9 by 31 km and the number of apartments on the island is approximately 1,500 .
3 – What are the strategies to attract more customers in Brazil this year?
We are working hard with the airlines companies. One of our weaknesses today is the availability for that area and we’ve had some progress over the last two years; one of them is now GOL flies twice a week for Caracas Avianca flying from São Paulo and Rio de Janeiro with connections in Bogota, Copa Airlines put four additional flights from Panama to Aruba, increasing the availability of seats for our destinations.
