O Canada Day Challenge Swim é uma das provas mais divertidas e tradicionais do Canadá, no lago Sasamat em British Columbia. Todos os anos ela acontece no dia 1º de julho, quando se comemora a independência canadense.
Com três níveis de dificuldade, 1 km, 2 km e 4 km, o evento reúne centenas de competidores iniciantes, amadores e profissionais com a quantidade limitada de 300 competidores. As inscrições podem ser feitas até o dia 30 de abril.
Em pleno verão canadense, a temperatura da água deve estar agradável, embora um pouco abaixo do comum no Brasil, devido à proximidade com o Alasca e Pólo Norte. Mas, para compensar, o clima nas cidades, fora da água, deve ser de bastante calor.
O local da prova fica a aproximadamente 40 minutos de Vancouver, quando já começa o tour por um dos países mais bonitos e cheios de curiosidades culturais.

The Canada Day Swim Challenge is one of the most fun and traditional proofs of Canada, in Sasamat Lake in British Columbia. Every year it happens on the 1st of July, commemorating the Canadian independence.
