Saint-Martin, pequena ilha franco-holandesa de 88 km2 é cercada pelo Oceano Atlântico e pelo Mar do Caribe. Verdadeiro paraíso, é um lugar cheio de belezas naturais e culturais. Graças ao seu clima e natureza intocada, a ilha oferece ao longo do ano uma série de desportos aquáticos e natureza inigualável. Suas 37 praias estão entre as mais famosas do Caribe. Clima
St. Martin tem as características de uma ilha seca com montes dispersos e algumas áreas com vegetação abundante.
A Costa Leste é varrida pelo calor dos ventos alísios que entram em contato com as montanhas e condensam calor. Em contraste, a Costa Oeste mais protegida da chuva, tem uma vegetação seca e abriga os famosos cactos.
Arquitetura colorida da ilha
A arquitetura de St. Martin é marcado por suas muitas influências. Belas mansões, testemunhas do período da escravidão, tornaram-se lindos museus históricos.
A ilha também é marcada pela influência arquitetônica “alturienne” do arquiteto Ali Tur. Na década de 1930, ele lançou seu estilo arquitetônico no Caribe, construindo entre a tradição (boa ventilação e proteção contra o sol) e modernidade (concreto armado).

Climate
St. Martin has the characteristics of a dry island with scattered hills and some areas with abundant vegetation.

Colorful architecture of the island
The architecture of St. Martin is marked by many influences. Beautiful mansions, witnesses of the period of slavery, became beautiful historic museums.
