O modelo tem sua estreia na versão 100% elétrica i5 M60, seguido pela versão híbrida 530e. O BMW i5 M60, primeiro a chegar ao Brasil, é um verdadeiro expoente da inovação elétrica. Equipado com dois motores elétricos, o veículo impressiona com seus 601 cv de potência e 820 Nm de torque, garantindo uma aceleração de 0 a 100 km/h em meros 3,8 segundos. Além de seu desempenho excepcional, o i5 M60 foi reconhecido mundialmente por sua segurança, recebendo a classificação máxima em testes de colisão.
A nova oitava geração do BMW Série 5 se distingue não apenas pela sua propulsão elétrica, como também por um design que mescla elegância e esportividade, além de uma gama de inovações digitais e tecnológicas que elevam a experiência de condução.
No cenário internacional, o novo BMW Série 5 já conquistou reconhecimento significativo pela sua segurança. O BMW i5 apresenta um consumo de energia no ciclo WLTP entre 20,6 e 15,9 kWh/100 km, com uma autonomia elétrica de 455 a 582 km, enquanto o BMW Série 5 Sedan exibe um consumo de combustível combinado de 7,7 a 5,1 l/100km e emissões de CO2 de 176 a 133 g/km no ciclo WLTP.

BMW’s Electric Revolution
The landmark of a new era in the luxury vehicle segment, the new generation of the BMW 5 Series arrives in Brazil in 2024. The model makes its debut in the 100% electric i5 M60 version, followed by the 530e hybrid version. Originating from the BMW Group plant in Dingolfing, Germany, this launch redefines the standards of dynamism, technology and sustainability, introducing an all-electric option to the range for the first time.
The BMW i5 M60, the first to arrive in Brazil, is a true exponent of electric innovation. Equipped with two electric motors, the vehicle impresses with its 601 hp of power and 820 Nm of torque, guaranteeing acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in a mere 3.8 seconds. In addition to its exceptional performance, the i5 M60 has been recognized worldwide for its safety, receiving the maximum rating in crash tests.

Independent institutions in Europe, the United States and South Korea have given the vehicle the highest ratings. In Europe, the Euro NCAP program gave the model five stars, highlighting the driver assistance systems and passive safety as strong points.
In the United States, the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) awarded the BMW 5 Series the TOP SAFETY PICK+ title, especially for the performance of the frontal accident prevention system and the effectiveness of the lighting system.
